Defensible OSINT investigations for due diligence, matrimonial, and litigation matters. From a single email address to a disclosure-ready dossier in minutes.

Where billable hours quietly disappear

The same digital groundwork opens every matter. Hours of paralegal or trainee time better spent elsewhere.

Counter-Party Research

Companies House, director history, dissolved entities, online presence — routinely done by a paralegal at chargeable rates, inefficiently.

Asset Discovery

Property, corporate interests, lifestyle indicators that signal undisclosed assets in matrimonial or debt-recovery matters.

Social Media Capture

Public posts relevant to matrimonial, employment, or personal-injury matters. Missed, or captured inconsistently and not in a disclosure-ready format.

Identity Triangulation

Confirming the right person is identified from common names. Wrong-person attribution in a pleading is a professional embarrassment.

What each investigation surfaces

The digital investigation stage opens nearly every matter — and eats paralegal and trainee time at chargeable rates with uneven results. BLACKEYES compresses that stage to around fifteen minutes. From a single email address, the platform returns identity-verification signals, conduct and lifestyle evidence, prior names and alternate accounts, Companies House history, and residency indicators — all source-cited in a disclosure-ready format. The output is a defensible starting point for case strategy, not a conclusion.

Identity Verification Signal

Historical breach exposure as identity-verification evidence. Particularly relevant in matters where documentary ID is in dispute or a party’s naming history is unclear.

Conduct & Lifestyle Evidence

Public posts and platform activity captured with citations. Relevant in matrimonial, personal-injury, and employment matters where conduct, employment, or lifestyle is in issue.

Identity & Prior Names

Alternate accounts, prior naming conventions, and pseudonymous profiles linked to the subject. Common territory in commercial disputes, matrimonial hidden-asset work, and identity-fraud claims.

Corporate History

Companies House officer history, subsidiaries, dissolved companies, and filings — a core territory for shareholder disputes, commercial due diligence, and director-duty matters.

Residency Signals

Previous and current location indicators inferred from digital evidence. Relevant in jurisdiction arguments, matrimonial relocation, and child-arrangement disputes where residency is in issue.

Disclosure-Ready Dossier

Every finding linked to its underlying public source — traceability in the form disclosure rules expect. Suitable to include in a brief to instructed counsel or in a disclosure bundle.

Questions practitioners ask

Are reports admissible as evidence?

Every finding in a BLACKEYES report is source-cited, referencing the underlying public source. Reports have been used to support matrimonial, due diligence, and commercial matters. Whether a specific finding is admissible and carries evidential weight depends on the tribunal, the matter, and whether the finding has been independently verified. Chain-of-custody handling and expert-witness framing may be required for contentious work. Counsel decides the evidential treatment — BLACKEYES does not.

Can we rely on the findings without further verification?

No. Findings are aggregated from public sources, historical data breaches, and third-party APIs including Companies House. The pipeline combines those lookups with AI analysis. While we apply multi-stage verification and Skeptic gating, AI systems can still misattribute signals, third-party data can be out of date, and breach records can be incorrect. For any finding that will be relied on in proceedings, independent verification is essential. BLACKEYES is not liable for third-party data accuracy or for how findings are used.

Whose responsibility is the lawful basis for processing?

Your firm's. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give several lawful bases that might apply — legitimate interest, legal claims, substantial public interest — but which applies in a specific matter is for your firm's DPO or counsel to determine and document. BLACKEYES acts as Data Processor on your instruction. We don't certify your lawful basis and aren't liable for processing lawfulness beyond our technical processor obligations.

Can opposing counsel request disclosure of our report?

Reports are based on public-domain information that the opposing side could in principle obtain themselves. Any report relied on in proceedings may be subject to standard disclosure rules. Because every finding is sourced, the report facilitates disclosure and cross-examination rather than obstructing it.

Do you work with chambers or barristers directly?

Yes. Chambers, barristers, and instructing solicitors all use the platform. Reports are delivered to the user who ran them — an instructing solicitor can commission a report and share the output with instructed counsel as part of the brief.

Is there a confidentiality issue using an external platform?

Reports and investigations are visible only to your account. BLACKEYES staff do not read report contents except with your explicit request during support. The underlying investigation queries against public sources do not disclose the matter or client. Investigation data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
